Suspension Training


What is Suspension Training? 

The term suspension training refers to an approach to strength training that uses straps and webbing called a "suspension trainer" to allow the user to work against their own body weight. It's a workout system that leverages gravity and your bodyweight to perform hundreds of exercises. You're in control of how much you want to challenge yourself on each exercise - because you can simply adjust your body position to add or decrease resistance.

What if I've never done Suspension Training before?

There are many different levels of suspension training. There is no need to worry if you've never done it before, as the classes will be small and catered to each individual based on your personal level. 

How often should I train?

With suspension training you don't need a lot of time to get the most out of it. A full body workout can be done in less than one hour.

How long are classes & how will they be structured?

Classes are 45 minutes long. We will spend a few minutes at the beginning and end with a warm up and cool down/stretch. The rest of the time will be a circuit based workout using the suspension straps. Your heart rate will be up the whole time while increasing core strength and muscle endurance.

Where will we meet?

Classes are held at our indoor Happy Valley location - Extreme Products 12310 SE HWY 212, Clackamas, 97015.

When are classes held?

Classes are offered Thursdays @ 5:30am, 6:45am & 7:30am.

Do I have to be a member of bootcamp to participate?

Not at all! Anyone is welcome to sign up for classes. However, there is a discount for current members.

How do I sign up?

What is the cost (investment in myself)? 

Current Bootcamp Members:

  • $45/month @ 1 day a week ($11.25/class)



  • $65/month @ 1 day a week ($16.25/class)


*Classes have no more than 4 registrants in order to get more one-on-one training. Personal trainers can typically charge $60 to $150 per hour for their services - this is a great opportunity to receive motivating fitness instruction by a Certified Trainer for just a fraction of the cost.

Who will be training me?

Katie Maclaskey, owner and instructor of Lake Oswego & Happy Valley Bootcamp, will be your trainer. She is certified through SBT (Suspended Bodyweight Training)
