COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT BOOT CAMP

How do I sign up?

Go to the registration page and fill out the registration form. At the end of the registration process, please follow the payment instructions to pay using your VISA, MASTERCARD, DISCOVER, or Paypal account. We can also take credit card in class with Square payment or check/cash.

How much does it cost?

  • 3x per week is $199 = $16/class
  • Unlimited classes $249 = $15/class
  • Drop-in Class = $10/class - first time camper only. $18 for any other drop-in day.

What if I want to join after camp starts?

You can join in any week! You will still go through the same registration process and we will prorate you for the remainder of camp.

Where is Camp?

For the months of June thru October, camp will be held outdoors at Foothills Park, 199 Foothills Dr., Lake Oswego, 97034 and Happy Valley Park, 13770 SE Ridgecrest Road, Happy Valley, 97086.  For the months October through May, the LO camp will be held inside at the New Thought Center for Spiritual Living at 1040 C Ave., Lake Oswego 97034 and Happy Valley at 12310 Southeast HWY 212, Clackamas, OR 97015. If any changes need to be made during winter or summer, campers will be given plenty of notice for any change in venue.

What do I need to bring to camp?

Bring one set of 5 - 10lb hand weights and an exercise/yoga mat EVERYDAY - you can purchase these items at an local Target, Walmart, Sports Authority or any sporting goods type stores.  Also, bring a water bottle to keep yourself hydrated, and you may want to bring a towel to dry off with.  And of course, always bring a "can do" attitude!!

What happens if it rains & we are scheduled to be outside?

Our policy during the summer is: if it is lightly raining, this is ADVENTURE Boot camp -  there is a pergola within our park so we will still do our workout outdoors, as long as the temperature permits!  If conditions exist which we feel would make it unsafe to be outside (i.e heavy rain, lightning, etc), then we will notify campers that we will be indoors for the day or week. During the months of October - May we will be indoor full time.

Is there a refund policy?

We can only give you a credit towards another boot camp if you are unable to continue with the one you began because of circumstances beyond your control. This credit is nontransferable. There is no cash refund.

What is our Camp Progress Evaluation?

The first Friday of every camp we will go through a Camp Progress Evaluation

The Camp Progress Evaluation includes the following:

  • Introduction to Boot Camp & answer any questions you may have
  • Strength and endurance testing to get a starting point & basis point for comparison.  These numbers are strictly confidential & will not be shared with anyone.
  • Remember, the reason we take measurements is so that you can SEE RESULTS!!!  You will never know exactly how much you've increased if you don’t track it - & we expect you to see amazing results in weight loss, increase in strength & endurance!

Boot CampersWho will be training me?

Certified Adventure Bootcamp trainers, Katie Maclaskey and Noelle Bertram, are dedicated to help you reach your goals from day one! See about page for details.

I see that a particular camp just started!  I just found out about it. Can I still join?

If the camp session is not full, then absolutely.  Just fill out the registration form, and let us know that you want to join the camp already in session.
If the current camp session is full, then you will have to wait until the next camp begins. But don't wait to sign up for the next camp - register NOW so that you are not left behind!

What should I wear to camp?

You MUST wear good quality, durable running shoes! Wear workout clothes that are comfortable and not restrictive. If we are outside, bring gloves or mittens, a hat and dress in layers that you can remove when you warm up.

What if I sign up for the 3-day plan and then want to add more days?

Great!  You will simply be pro-rated from the point you decide to join for more days.

What if I miss a day?

If you miss one day of camp, you have the option of coming on Tuesday at 5:30am, 7:00am or 8:30am. We leave this day open for make-up days, substitution days or as an additional 4th day.

Do you allow drop-ins?

Yes.  We allow one $10 drop-in if you are new to camp, which will apply toward your camp if you decide to join. Any drop-ins after that are $18.

Can I bring a friend?

Absolutely! You can bring a friend anytime during camp for one FREE class. If they decide to join, both of you get the BUDDY REFERRAL RATE!

Will I be sore sometimes?

Most people feel sore for the first 2-3 days. After that point, it is slight to moderate. Being sore is actually part of the process & shows that you are getting stronger!  To alleviate any discomfort, we recommend taking Epsom salt baths to relieve any muscle aches.

What kinds of people go to camp?

They range in age from 18 - 70+. Some have never exercised, and some are competitive runners looking to train for their next race.  Some have over 100 pounds to lose, and some need to gain weight & add muscle.  Some are stay-at-home moms and some are working professionals.  They are women who want results, want to feel great, want to have more energy & want a turbo-charged jump-start to their day! They are determined and committed, “can-do” women, & we are proud to train them!

What if I’m not very physically fit?

That’s okay! No one will be left behind at camp, & virtually all of the exercises we do can be modified. Our primary concern is for the safety of our women - we will never have anyone do an exercise that we feel is unsafe or beyond their ability level.

What if I am recovering or have had previous injuries?

While we are accepting of all fitness levels, if you have had previous injuries that limit you from participating in specific exercises, we require a brief consultation over the phone to learn more about your current condition and to be sure that our program is the right fit for you. This is very important to do before your first day of class so you (as the client) and us (as your trainers) are prepared to make sure your experience is the best it can be.

What is a typical day like at camp?

That's difficult to say since each day is intentionally different to alleviate boredom. You can expect weight training, mat work, running, obstacle courses, pilates, yoga, plyometrics, jumping rope - & much more. On special days, we will go hiking and play sports-related games. It's always an adventure, and we guarantee that you will have fun & the hour will FLY by!

How soon will I see results?

It depends directly on your level of commitment - & what you are putting in your mouth! Performance improvement can occur in as little as three days, and you will feel lighter & more energetic in the first week. Visual improvement can take from 2-4 weeks, depending on your effort level and on your healthful eating habits. It is common to see a camper go down 1-2 dress sizes within the first camp. But remember, everyone is different!

Do you have nutrition suggestions to compliment bootcamp?

Absolutely. See our current promotions page for details on our nutrition and weight loss package.

Do you provide child care during class?

We do not provide supervised child care at either location. However, our LO location has a large, empty room that can be use. If you don't mind your child being unsupervised, we don't mind them coming along! Our HV location is NOT large enough to accomodate a play area, so no kiddies alloyed. Sorry for any inconvenience.
